In the fall I get all worked up and a bit jealous of all you guys that get to go out after work and climb up in a tree to deer hunt. You haven't got to bust your ass to hike 5 miles or climb 2000' to hunt deer and I suspect that most of you get to spend a lot more days/hours in a season hunting than we do up here even though we live in a hunter's "paradise". It's just a freakin' ordeal to get out and do any real hunting here for all the planning and expense that's involved. Then I had to chuckle to myself... I realized this as I was sitting glassing for brown bears after work yesterday in a spot I had driven about 15 miles to get to and hiked less than a mile. It's a spot that in the past 10 years has produced 3 top 10 B&C bears that would shatter the current archery world record. As I was glassing the huge tracks coming into and going out of the valley I thought to myself, "Yeah, okay I guess I haven't got it so bad afterall..."

Good luck with those turkeys everyone!!
