Well it may not end....but it certainly would help if Americans, bought american products.....and even more so would help if Americans had the opportunity to buy american products.....
It would help if Remington actually madea quality rifle. Whats up with the powder blased finish on the barrels,or the non jeweled bolts, or the bend in half composite stocks, or the model 798 made in Serbia, or the 5lb triggers, can you say 710 or 770. JUNK! Come on, where is the quality control.
Its time American gun makers take some pride in their work. Once they are putting out the quality that is expected in a europen gun, then i will buy a Remington. I dont see that happening any time soon.
Well, not all Remington's are like that. Irecently purchased a Remington 700 CDL. It has a satin finish on the barrel, a jeweled bolt and a very nice satin walnut stock. These were the attributes I was searching for in my next rifle. I waspleasantly suprisedwith the stock when I got the rifle. I will admit that the trigger is a tad on the heavy side but it is not as bad I was worried it might be.
