It day break, I am setup near where they roost. I was thinking a few clucks/purs and then listen. If I get nothing back, should a yelp a bit?
Before day break, like right when you think they are going to fly down...
let out some tree yelps, and then take your hat and "whooosh" it against your legs and ground like a turkey is flying down. Then listen. Then do the clucks/purrs.
That is what I'D do.
I have one of those wing things, will do.
I have turkey hunted the last 5 years, but with a good caller. I am going solo this year
