Pretty steep where I hunt, and hunt mostly as landowner so I don't see many hunters, don't see why it would be any more dangerous than gun season for deer. I don't see but one or two hunters during deer season either.
It would be more dangerous for three main reasons, one turkey hunters hunt from the ground, not from a treestand. two, turkey hunters often have decoys out in front of them not 15 yards away, while three, they are covered head to toe in camo for no one to see. Easy situation for someone to get shot.
I realize that IFone checks his shot and knows his background like he should, there still would be no problem. Problem is, there are a lot of egg heads out there hunting, who I wouldnt trust for a second in this situation. If rifles are legal, I am not using decoys IMO.
