I get a kick out of " free range" animals being more humane. It' s only a way for some to feel beter about the food they eat.
Free Range brings more to the table flavor wise. That' s why I buy it.
I guess I' m more like the Wiley Coyote cartoon when he sees the Roadrunner...I see deer in the woods and in my eyes they have those white frilly things on their legs and all the lines of butchery are faintly visible and I start to salivate and my pupils turn into red throbbing hearts!
