Question??
One lease that I have is basically all cut-over with a decent 20 ac block of hardwoods that borders the cutdowns, then there is a road that circles an equally sized thicket then a strip of timber about 30 yds wide, 250 yds long, it splits the two cutovers. In this strip of timber is a creek with water in it always. The back of my line is bordered by huge hardwoods, I can;t hunt those, but I can get real close. My first sit in the strip of woods produced a nice buck for me. The second trip to the lease was in the stand of oaks and that produced another nice buck, but it was in two seperate places. Can I almost bank on these two spots producing bucks every year? These are really the only places to hang stands. I can hang em in a few places within the areas, but that's about it. Or was this a fluke? I walked in and scouted with stand and bow in hand found great sign and set up. Can I vision a pattern with this or is it just one time deals, I sat in both areas again and saw one deer.
