Default The Weather

The weather, think about how influential it is to us deer hunters. Our whole world revolves around weather.

An early season cold snap can force the deer to move more than usual if their coats havent thickened up.
We need ample rain and sunshine for food plots. But not too much of either as too much sun and heat will result in drought and too much rain and cloud cover result in a lack of protein in the vegetation.

Harsh winters can really takes it toll on a deer herd while a warm winter can cause overpopulation.

Early spring frosts can kill an otherwise good acorn crop.

If the apples fall early they will ferment and cause the animals to get a little "tipsy"

And then there's the wind and how it influences stand location.

The weather and Mother Nature really does keep us on our toes.

Feel free to add to the list with other ways the weather effects our lives as hunters.
