Some of ours haven't even lost both sides yet and you're already seeing velvet?
We've got bucks around here too that are still carrying there head gear, all the ones I've seen with the antlers on are all smaller bucks. The big guy's start growing a bit earlier then the younger bucks I imagine.
Makes sense, I haven't seen any of the big boys up close this year yet just the 1 1/2 -2's.
