RE: WHO ELSE SAYS A PRAYER?
I, too, say a small prayer over the animals I harvest. Often, this prayer includes an apology to the animal in the manner of many Native American tribes who felt this was necessary to appease the spirits.
It is always with a touch of sadness that I lay my eyes on one of God' s most magnificent creatures lying still in the woods, woods in which I am only a brief visitor and in which I am blessed to able feel at one with Nature; woods where God grants me safe passage and wonderful bounty for my family.
