Unless you are using one of the "headchopper" broadheads, you will find turkeys are often fairly difficult to kill with a body shot. Try using some sort of penetration limiting device - like an adder washer or a Muzzy Grasshopper in between the broadhead and the insert. Getting the head to stay in the bird greatly increases your chances of recovery.
