I love my vortex's but I never used them with my recurve asI was under the impression that I needed more speed (energy), I shot magnuswith my recurve. I never hunted turkey with my recurve either, I would have to look at that hard before I did it, maybe chrono the bow and figure out what type of ke your getting and speed.I was told a long time ago that you need at least 240fps with a hunting weight arrow for them to open, of course that wasjust what someone told me, may not be any truth to it?????? I don't know.....
