ORIGINAL: cayugad

I have a couple of the sidelocks scoped. We are allowed 1X magnification in our State. While it is not an increase in ability to see, in fact just the opposite perhaps, it is a better aiming device which makes my rifle more accurate.

I find nothing wrong or unattractive with them. I personally like them. I have bought base plates for a renegade, now I just have to figure out how to use them as they are different then the current mounts I have on them.
Nice looking guns there Dave, I know what you mean about the base plate being different. It calls for a TC base adaptor and quick release rings right? Mine came with a weaver base no. 408 and some weaver rings, but I used some quick release weaver type rings instead.
I think a scope on a sidelock is similar to putting radial tires on a collector car, Not original but makes for better handling and a better ride.
