I got a couple of .45’s to play last couple of month’s . I thought about a light load for my daughter like 80 grains and a 195 powerbelt. Seems like the .45’s like to go faster. I found some 150gr Knight Red Hots, loaded 135 FFF T7- ave 2413 fps. This would be better than a 30-30. Not a lot of recoil, should be good to 100yrd, seems like the copper bullet would hold up at these speeds. What do guys you think?
Why so hot to kill a deer at 100 yards? Heck that load will do 250 yards. I would drop down to like 80g for her. 2413 fps is moving for a BP gun, those are Savage velocies. Chap
