Default RE: bringing them a long way?

you gota do the homework and see which way they naturally normally move...thats the only real way to get the best setup on them i think....ive sat 100yards from brids to have them fly the opposite direction and alreayd headed towards food and hens waiting for them....they have set patterns they do on a normal basis...your job is to figure out where they want to be and be in that area...the best called in the world cant call in a turkey that has a pile of hens 300yds in the opposite direction of you..why travel 250 for when hen when you can go 100 and get a pile of them?? thats the way i see it....calling just helps let them know your there and interested and gets them to come more your way....you may get lucky and theres not alot of hens around and some do come to your calling..or a really hot bird might...or jakes may come in...but its all about the homework....thats how i like to hunt anyways....i do hunt birds i havent patterned...i listen off the roost and hope they come my way...and i read a few times its easier to call one up hill than it is down....good luck....
