If you a stand hunter or hunt open fields get the 28" or the 26", if your a still hunter and hunt the woods a lot carrying the rifle get the 20", the 20" is plenty accurate enough. I took the very long 28"barrel off my TC Hawken and bought a 21" Green Mountain, have not shot it yet, but the difference between those two guns is like night and day for carrying and getting quickly to your shoulder.
