I almost forgot about my dumb expierence with this as well. It cost me 7 hours of walking in the dark in the mountains because I thought my compass was wrong. The real bad thing was I hunted that year all by myself. I'll never go again by myself on an elk hunting trip in the mountains! Well maybe I will If I want to go bad enough. Always trust your compass folks, it can save your life.
