RE: arrow glue alternative?
Go with the Bohning fletch tape. No dry times, no mess, and it' ll stick to about anything. Just make sure there isn' t a bunch of dirt and the likes on your fingers and the shaft. The tape holds very well, but if you mess a feather up you can grab it and rip it off then clean the excess quill off with a knife. The tape holds so well that I' ve ripped feathers off before and had the feather come off but the tape stayed on the shaft. The tape is pretty cheap too. It' s a few dollars for a roll long enough to fletch around three dozen arrows at least. I' m not even half way through my first roll and I' ve done two or three dozen arrows with it.
