im planning on hunting squirrels and coons and rabbits. i might get a semi auto marlin model 60r ruger 10/22 and then later get a bolt action savage .22 magnum

How to make the ruger accurate inexpensively first of is to float the barrel. It will do wonders for it.
You have been asking alot about .22's and bouncing around alot with what you want because of other peoples opinions. My advice is to go out and buy one and be happy with it. .22's are suppose to be fun so stop getting all worked up about it. Any will do you good if you find something you don't like about it just get someting different next time. You can never have enough 22's. And get the lr first the ammo cost a tenth of the magnum but that just my opinion.
