I understand your feeling completely Kyle. My grandfather was a huge part in me being the hunter I am today. I never got to hunt with him due to cancer taking him from me in 1988. I wasn't quite hunting age (12) when he passed. But i remember all he taught me the years I had with him. And after he passed I inherrited all of his hunting equipment and guns and bows. Every year during rifle season I say I am gonna switch out the old Weaver 4x scope that is on his Remington 760 Gamemaster I use to hunt with, but I can't bring myself to do it. Just because it is exactly the way it was when Pap used it, and being superstitious I have a very long streak of taking a deer with that gun since I started using it.

I think about him very often, especially when im in the woods. I know he is always there with me guiding me in the outdoors. I still miss him terribly and its been almost 20yrs he's been gone. Enjoy the ring and celebrate your grandfather every chance you get.
