Default Took the day to remember...

I rolled out of bed in a daze this morning, oh yeah, it's easter! I jumped in the shower, and afterwards started to get dressed for church. Nothing out of the ordinary, I know. I started to head out the door, but again I forgot. IT IS EASTER. I quickly ran up the stairs (note: had the shoes on, good thing mom wasn't home) and grabbed it off my desk. A symbol of who I am trying to be today. Today was another Easter without my grandfather. You may, or may not have seen some my posts reguarding my grandpa, but I'll say it again. He is THEE greatest man I've ever known. The most honest, trustworthy, caring, hardworking man I've ever come in contact with. His integrity, unmatched! Shortly after god called him home, I recieved a ring that was a gift to him from my father. My grandma thought he'd want me to have it. It is a symbol of the man I want to become. Not a day goes by I don't think of my grandpa, and I'm proud to call him that. I can only hope he is upstairs looking down on me, watching my every move, and do my best to make him proud. The loss of gramps really hits me on holidays, and thought I'd share, again, what a great man he really was. Rest in Piece, Grandpa P. Happy Easter, friends. Take care.

About the Ring: It is the ivory from a bull elk shot in Colorado by my grandpa, given to him by my dad. It is set in gold. Nothing else I own means more. Here is a couple pics:
