Another idea is finding good used. Inlines now are being turned over much faster then yester years. The fact many use them just like you indicate in short seasons and very few inbetween shots means you can get some pretty good deals on good used guns. Being BP or subs are more suspect to reatin moisture you need to inspect them carefully to ensure they have been maintained. By checking the breech, bore and removing the action/barrel from the stock you'll know if they were left or dealt with when dirty.

Also you maybe able to find NIB holdover stock as well. With new models hitting the market, used market full, etc it means dealers may have previous models collecting dust in the stock room which would be your gain there loss.

As far as ease of cleaning anything that has a removal breech is pretty easy. They all require breakdown to be completely/thoroughly cleaned so they'll take a little more then a quick wipe down and bore swab. Plus if your not using it ton what really do you gain by cutting 5minutes off the job???

The KRB or Truimph are both reasonably priced and ease to clean for new models. Either would be an excellent choice and hold its value if you deciede MLing isn't for you.
