RE: 243 vs. 25-06
Considering I've been hunting for 40+ years [over 120 head of assorted big game taken including grizzly]and worked as a guide witnessing untold kills and tracking down and finishing the cripples from others that couldn't tell 100 yards from 300.I take with a grain of salt others claiming 600 shots as routine and commonplace.Most can't do it! Much less with a factory hunting rifle.Take away the shooting bench in real hunting conditions and well you get the picture.Not talking about beanfield custom rifles or military sniper models.I have nothing against any rifle caliber based on the .308 parent case including the .243.But it will never be a .25-06 by any means.Am I a green rookie?
