Default RE: 20 Gauge rifled slug

WHo has used a 20 gauge slug on Deer? I have experience with 12 gauge buckshot and slugs but never entertained the 20 gauge slug. Am I missing out on something?
IF you use a rifled barrel and shoot the "sabot" type bullet-slugs, for deer and black bear the 20-ga. is plenty! There is no longer a need for the 12, using this kind of big-bore "bullet" What the RIFLED 20-ga will shoot is at least as good as a standard .45/70 405-grain factory load.

IF you are talking about using a smooth-bore to shoot Foster type hollow-base "rifled" slugs, then IMO you still will find the 12 to be superior. In the 20-ga smooth-bore,Brenneke slugs are enough superior to the Foster type to justify the higher price, IF your gun will shoot them accurately!
