I started deer hunting in 1974. Back then you pretty muchshot the first deer you saw, it might be the only one you saw all season. There just weren't that many around.

Hunting seemed more fun back then too. Not as competitive as it is now. And definately not as commercial. Now hunting is a Multi-Million dollar Industry. Back then it was a tradition and a time for family and friends to get together. Now noone has time to hunt together. They are headed in 10 different directions.

Don't get me wrong, I still love hunting. But it is a different sport nowadays.
