I always use a stringer. Don' t want to take a chance and ruin my beloved longbows Doesn' t take any longer and a stringer is easy to carry. I usually leave my bow strung unless I know I' m not going to shot for a couple of weeks. I ask my bowyer and he said I can leave it strung for as long as I want!
