I agree with Matt the vibra blocks do work but not as good as the simms.
On my Pat I just slid them down to the pockets and have not noticed any speed loss I am still shooting in the 290' s with 322gr arrows.

As for the cable slide I am using the MZE.
I also intend to take the vibra blocks off in favour of the limb savers for the same reason as Matt did when my Pro40 turnd up.

I am using the same wax as you are and have had no adverse effect to the string or cable.

I have not tried to download the manual so I cant comment on that.
