Default RE: Bases for a Weatherby

A few telephone calls today a work and a have a few answers. It looks like the action they used for the gun was a model 64 Anschutz. So I can use Weavers aluminum bases (size 91 front and back), or their steel bases (S91 front and back), or they also make a set of steel dovetail Grand Slam bases/rings that are from the look of it exactly like Leupolds in design. I'll do a bit of digging and look at prices of those Grand Slams vs what Talleys would run. I think either would be a decent set up. I'm not trying to cut corners, but I'm not going to pay more if I don't have to.

Anybody ever used Weaver Grand Slam dovetail mounts?
