I would think posting pictures of it on the internet would do 3things for you.

1) Show you really have something of value to potential buyers
2) Get you more money and internet publicityfor it, if thats your real goal
3) Get the nay sayers off your back

If your looking for money, getting live video or even live pictures would probably be worth some money. But, shooting that buck on the hoof would be worth much more than a half rack shed. Im not sure I would ever sell a world record anything, even a shed but then again, Ive never been in your situation and position either. Good luck, I hope your story is true.
