alright, i powered up my I40 for the first time last night and checked for the updates. it seems my camera already had the "level 2" update from the factory but was missing the "level 1" update. i followed the instructions on Moultrie's website to install the "level 1" update with no problems at all. i went ahead and set all the settings to my liking and am now waiting to set it out.
