I hunted on a general tag the first year I moved to Wyoming. The hunting kind of sucked because I was still learning the area. I had to apply as a non-resident due to the one year waiting period, before you are considered a resident.
Last year I hunted on a general tag in the same area & killed a cow on my 4th-day hunting.
Call the BLM office in the area you are looking at hunting, they will sell you a map for $5.00
