Grab it head and tail and give it a good twist. If it has a fracture the shaft will either collapse or you'll hear a cracking sound. If it's solid, shoot it.
Well Rob , i grabbed twisted and heard no cracking or saw no damage . So i'm gonna fire it off tomorrow and see what happens .

I will have my friend on standby , for hospital run .... just incase
