this might sound stupid but I want to get into bowhunting and i don't know to many. Is there a brand that you think is pretty good?
For a NEW archer, you really would be best served to hit a pro-shop, get measured, draw a few bows to see what draw-weight is going to be realistic for you, and then start searching from there. Don't CHASE speed, the difference you get often times is negligible unless you want to spend well over $600 new. Find what seems to be a good fit, and you may be able to find something used from there. Take a peak at www.huntersfriend.com, and look at their "Choosing a bow section," and read over some of the articles on there. A few off of the top of my head that are pretty good starter bows are the Bowtech Tomkat, Bear Element or Instinct, or PSE Brute are budget minded, and capable rigs. Find a set-up that will work for you and look used, sometimes you can get some AWESOME deals. I picked up my Trykon w/ $90 strings and a $100+ rest on it for $400 delivered to my door. The MSRP would've been nearly $1000. Start shopping, narrow down what you're really looking for, make a budget and within a month or so, you may be shooting Robinhoods. Ask questions as you think of them, there are a LOT of good guys here and there's a LOAD of good knowledge to be tapped.

Welcome!!!!
