A true dyed in the wool turkey hunter would never give up at 10 o' clock. I stay in the woods until the 1 p.m. cutoff time here in MO. If you can hear 1 gobble after 10 a.m., it is worth more than 100 gobbles at daybreak. Even if you don' t hear any gobbling later in the morning, the toms are usually out in their strutting areas and you just need to keep moving until you spot one. Good binoculars are a must for later in the morning. Don' t give up early, stay out there, you' ll be glad you did.
