For coyotes everything has to be right, You can fool a deer a bit. With cover scents ,you can make them think you 400 yards when your 40yards. A coyote WILL NOT fall for that. You may be wise to treat your tracks with cover scent. If the wind is"nt right for where the dogs are gonna come from,,,,, it"s like spitin into the wind.
