Where do you think it came from??? You think bowhunting is purely an "american invention"?? Dont you think that is a bit of a restriction on the scope of what bowhunting has been for thousands of years? Artistic license on the BH's....

By no means bow hunting is an American invention, don't get me wrong. I was just reffering to the crossbows as they were allot bigger outside the USA. They've never been the thing here. Thats why in my previous post I said USA and not some other country's heritage. Get what I'm saying??
