Not to be argumentative, but doesn't the rest limit ones final movement of the gun for an approaching turkey elevation & left to right??

Does the fact that it attaches to the barrel effect the pattern?? Never seen it tested on shot, but I have seen it change the point of impact of a slug when a sling was mounted to the barrel??

Please give me your thoughts....
