Default RE: Browing Vs Tikka Vs Savage

Actually most of my business is building custom rifles and I get PLENTY of work! When I talk about most rifles needing tweaking,I'll give you an example of my "accuracy" package on factory rifles-glass bedding(brownings come that way factory),hand lap bolt for lugs and smoothness(browning bolts are smooth out of box),free floating barrel(again browning rifles come that way factory),trigger job(brownings need only adjusted,as well as cz,remington, and savage),working up load-all are same except for browning boss, which is simple adjustment, and finally, the only bad thing about browning a-bolts is the safety needs to be modified(which is ridiclously easy to do)in order for bolt to be opened while on safety. I'm never lacking for work so that if I can help people help themselves-it cuts down on my backlog so that I can do the work I love, which is building complete rifles.

How much work does an abolt need out of the box in your experience???

I mean after all a portion of your income or business isgetting off the rack rifles to shoot...is it not??? I find it a little contradictory a gunsmith is makingstatements that out of the box accuracy or very little tweaking....she's down the road. Kind of like biting the hand that feeds you...NO???
