I feel the same as you. I have absolutely no desire to hunt big game with a firearm, regardless of its size.
If I drew a once in a lifetime tag, like for sheep or something, then I probably would take a rifle simply because I would like to get something and a rifle does increase the odds somewhat. Beyond that, I agree with you Dan.
