The only presses I ever heard of "giving out" were some of the little cheapy C presses. I don't think anyone with an RCBS has much hope of outliving it.[:-]
And there is one small down side to owning a bigger, taller press. This means a longer stroke to size every case. If you don't really need it, this adds up to quite a bit of wasted motion. Of course the payback is the bigger the press, the more leverage going for you. So I guess it evens out.
