Toklat Kodiak Brown Bear Rug

This beautiful, prime Kodiak Brown bear was taken by the seller on an early spring hunt near Deadman's Bay in 1995. The hunt was done early in the season in hopes of getting a great hide. The reward was this thick furred, "Toklat" colored (very golden/blonde body with dark legs) giant with no rubbed spots. After being registered with Alaska Fish and Game in Kodiak the salted hide was delivered to Hunter Fisher Taxidermy in Anchorage. Eleven months later the beautiful rug was finished and selected for display at the Great Alaskan Sportsman Show. The rug has been displayed on walls in homes but it will also lay flat on a bed or floor. It's still in nearly perfect condition with no damage or fading. Even the backing is like new.

Length: 84 inches tail to teeth

I don't know how common the Toklat bears are on Kodiak, but you just don't see nicer, more unique Kodiak bears than this one very often.
