but I assume the other would tire eventually (however, I think I read a story a while back about a buck that was found dead that had been interlocked with another one that had died first and it drug the dead one with it for quite some time before succumbing to it, so it may be a long wait).
Chances are that the second buck would die of the stress if it reached that point of exhaustion. It's a very real problem in tranq'ing them as well, the cardiac stress kills them later.
