Default Big Brown - Just Delieverd

Good Ole Brig Brown - right on time with the tracking schedule.... The Knight with a MHC fluted barrel has arrived...

Checked it over pretty good and the only thing I found that was out of the ordinary was on the front sight - right at the front edge of the fiberthere is a very small ding and the black is gone... easy fix...

Second thing I noticed is the serial number of the barrel MHC XXXX seems like an awful low number for this late in the run of these barrels... kinda wonder what the story is on that.

First impressions... I like the way it shoulders... I like the thickness of the stockunder the breech... for a 7# 14oz rifle it really does seem lighter - especially lighter than the White.... Opening the bolt is stiff but not as stiff as myA&H... longopen angle of pistol grip really feels comfortable... reminds me of the original pistol grip on an old Winchester Model 12... will change the ram rod and add a TC super jag.... Trigger pull short crisp and feels very good, probably 4#'s give or take... safety does not click off very loudly at all... The stock is solid... Removal of the trigger mech is simple... appears to be aBold trigger with a Knight nameon it. Barrel floats in the forearm to the rear of the flutes and them becomes tight to thebarrel and the action all the way to the rear... Removed the brrech plug andit has a cone shape vs the dome that i here some peoplereferring to... Oh! the bolt does slip in and out very easily

Accesories in the box... some Knight black sabots and all lead bullets, 12 red disks, loadingtool - questionable how long they will last.... breeck plug tool...loading jag... allen wrench, and aInformational/Insturctional
DVD....

One a couple small disappointments - only one recoil lug but it is welded to the barrel... second there iswee little bit of front/rear movement of the barreled action in the stock (with lug screw out), but I think this movement is also an easy fix with rearward shim in the lug pocket... also the rear sight is very loose on the barrel a little lock-tight and a screw driver will cure this problem.

OK time to go clean it up...
