So, according to the designer of my Iron Mace, thisguy is a collegue - andwas using some of the HCA Speed Pro 5.5 arrows on an experimental basisout of his 80# PSE X-Force and laying the smack down on some major-league big game.
The details: Bow was pushing in the neighborhood of 400 fps with an arrow in the neighborhood of 325 grains. KE in the 115# range.
Check out the near-passthrough on the elephant. Flippin' sweet.
He was definitely outside the warranty limits on his PSE, but there was a rumor going around that PSE was prepared to dip their warranty down in '08 to 4 grains per pound... Which would put him right on the money (4.06). Apparently everything performed in a reliable, consistent manner.
So, I guess it looks like HCA isn't the only one building bows to perform reliably with that kind of setup.
