Default RE: Elitist attitude

Lanse, I never said they shouldn't be used for hunting, and no, I haven't hunted with one. Why try to tag something on me I never said? Again, they aren't just a bow--they are a bow-plus. That's my opinion. I'm not kicking, screaming, pitching a fit, questioning intellect, calling names, etc. just because you or anyone else doesn't agree with me. I have no need for that kind of behavior to state my opinion or make my points.

You've shot some different bows, but you don't hunt with them, haven't hunted with them, and have no desire to hunt with them--yet you feel justified in stating your opinion. Archery has been a big part of my life for most of the last 20 years, but because I haven't hunted with a crossbow, my opinions have no foundation? Again, that is just too funny.

Wyvern, where did I "whine"? I stated my opinion, no more and no less. I've said over and over I have no animosity towards the weapon or those who use them. Why can't you just address the points I made rather thantry and turn it into something personal? If you have to make up things as you go along to try and state your case, maybe you should re-evaluate your stance.

You say I'm making assumptions about where crossbows are headed. Maybe.....but it doesn't take a genious to see what has happened with compounds in the last 15 years. Once the opportunity for big money appears, things change. Crossbows have made some big changes even with the very limited market they've had--when the floodgates open and competition goes wild, do you think for one second there won't be a race for faster, better, easier?

Art, I agree 100%. I'm not at war with anyone, or with crossbows. I just took the oportunity to state my opinion. Honestly I was suprised at the attitudes displayed--the staunch defense of crossbows as being "just another bow",but especiallythe methods used to "defend" them. I expected better from this bunch.
