ya i guess the public land is a big one. i only hunt private unless its a managed hunt i get drawn for. where i hunt we have great trophy potential already, as long as you practice QDM, which i think enough guys do that it shouldnt be a law. also think of all the kids (and adults) that are going for their first deer, do you think they wanna pass up a buck? the same with elderly folks that cant get around that good anymore. i also dont know many people that would pass this buck up. aged at 3.5 (which its a fact IS a mature deer) its the buck on the right, a 6 my dad killed this year. mine on the left would barely be legal if there was a 4-point rule. ill also get a picture up later of a 5 my dad killed a while back thats aged at (by a biologist) 6.5 years old.
