Just a thought to try.

PABowhntr had mentioned the harmonics of the string amplifing the vibrations from the wiskers. Have you tried to slide them up and down the string. This is just a thought but try both close to the cams, both farther down and one close one farther and alnternate them.

That is the only thing I can think of. Also I tried to cut the wiskers on my hunting bow, but it made it louder, I guess every bow is a little bit different.
