you are all very correct in what you say. i only hunt on public land and i see approximately 40-50 does a year. they need to get rid of some of them so bucks with trophy potential can develope. myself i think they should go to a 4-point rule or6-point rule and be allowed to take 5-inch spikes. propably atleast half the bucks taken each year are 1 1/2 year olds so let them grow up some. they should let us take 1 doe during muzzleloader season. one of the wmas i hunt has a section that haS alot of huge spikes around 14' ' and go about 145 pounds so they need to be removed from the heard if not then we will be run over with trophy spikes. not a pretty picture.
