I'm one of the PT guys. Just got mine a couple of months ago and it's the smoothest, best shooting 1911 I've ever owned.........and that includes a Kimber that I got rid of. The Kimber was as accurate but reliability SUCKED. Tried factory and reloaded ammo. Tried different clips. Whatever. You were lucky to get a clip through the Kimber w/o it gagging. The Taurus never jams on anything and will shoot one ragged hole if I do my part. It's a keeper for sure. And the best part is the price. I got mine at Academy Sports for just over $500 with tax and all. They said they can't keep these guns in stock and I can see why.
