1) I use unscented tampons and napkins for scent wicks, they're cheap and biodegradeable. You can also have a bit of evil fun engaging women at the store in a comparison of the relative merits of "supers" versus "light days". Boy does it make them blush!

2) I turned a brand new cheap chalkline reel into a scent dispenser once, you just open the little hatch and saturate the line with the scent of your choice. Not bad for a $2.50 investment.

3) I once used the refill heads from a dustmop for foot silencers, the big puffy strings muffle your footsteps well, and you can scent the undersides to leave a rail.

4) Reflective tape makes a good cheap substitute for reflective trail markers, it comes in sheets and is easy to cut to size.The self adhesive kind works best.
