That rest doesn't have anything to do with the cams on any bow.......the cord is pulled downward the same on every bow to a set point that trips the internal release, when fired the down cable travels back up allowing the rest to drop.

It should not perform any different on this bow VS every other compound bow on the market? I had one myself and personally didn't like it but I know plenty of guys who do and it seems to work just fine for them.

I think "Twildasin" might have a Ripcord on his new General?
